Man you have a awesome collection!!!!

Here is my dogfather with some of my babies!

Great pics bro

I got mine and I gotta admit I am VERY impressed...

I have only cut air with mine so far but it does that very well!!:p

How does this beast compare to the Heavy Heart?

Is the DF a good thrusting blade? It looks to have a good point.

Ban: cool mod. I love making a blade personal.

VTW: where's the "Naked Father"? :)

This is driving me nuts waiting for mine. It is my first big chopper. I sure do hope
these big choppers are not habit forming.

Right..... not habit forming... hooooo-haaaaa-heeeeee!!!! :D

Your killing me....heeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaaa-hoooooooo!!!!! :D :D :D

Tyrkon,

The DF does have a nice clip point..... which should make it a good thrusting blade. However, I do not think that it would be any better than say a BM or a SH with a more spear point. Keep in mind that the DF is thicker than the standard BM or SH. It also carries alot of that full thickness almost to the last 1 or so inch towards the tip. That is why the DF is so blade heavy and feels almost like a khukri as Cobalt noted.

I love your mod Ban it is perfect for the kind of style I like. I have been pesering Dan to make a Scraper PBF but maybe I should just get another DF and make it a Dogfighter. I plan to put a pentatrator point on mine but probably not as big a one as yours unless I have a spare.

unsub,

Actually, now that you mention the PBF..... The profile of the modified blade very much resembles the PBF after cutting off the spine before the top false edge was put on. I should have taken some pictures before I put on the false edge.

Just take a straight edge to the DF from the handle/blade junction to the tip of the blade about 1/2" back from the original tip. You will see what I am talking about.
