The Beer Scout Knife

I wish I had my scout beer knife today (completely related post, to this thread, please don't reprimand me). I had the smoker going with three boned stuffed chickens and some boidin. One chicken stuffed with dirty rice, one with shrimp and rice, and one with shrimp, jalapenos, rice, and bacon. Many beers were drank, which would have been better with my beer scout(again relative to this thread).

You're joking of course! Great mods keep a great forum/sig/community great. IMO we've got a great group of moderators here.

Mike

So back on topic...hope you get one of these.

Not joking at all. This is a great comminuty and board and I appreciate what the mods do, but it is overkill. I respect your opinion, but I am blown away by the mod response. My kindergarten teacher wife laughs at them when I tell her and she wrangles 25 five year olds all day.

After these are delivered, we're going to have to look around for which of us live close enough to meet up for a beer. Bartender, leave the cap on that, I have a Beer Scout.

:)

I'm grilling rib eyes over charcoal tomorrow (yes, Mother's Day!), and the beers & Pepsi's are already chilling. A Radio Jack will step up for duty and handle business!

Trust me. It is easier to wrangle kindergartners than a bunch of set-in-their-ways grown-ups.
And if you have any other problems with our moderation, take it to PM and stop making a fuss in the thread.

Pm'd, thanks and apologies

I love the look of the EO notch with the sheepsfoot blade and am glad to see the crown lifter 'Beer Scout' configuration coming up in the GEC production cycle.

I understand the SFOs are piggy-backing on GEC's run, so the variations are limited to handle materials for the most part. I've even put my name down for three, smooth bone, ebony and a SFO micarta, because I like the look of the pattern so much.

However, other than I, who would really like to see this variation slightly larger? I'm thinking an EO sheepsfoot micarta Soda Scout on the 77 frame would be the perfect knife for me.
I'll get my 15s & I'll be happy I was able to pick them up - they are fantastic. But on the 77 frame I might have gone broke trying to acquire them all.

So what's the larger version on the 15 Scout; the 77 Venture Scout? Thoughts?

I'd be interested in a 77-sized model myself. Either way, I am hoping to score the Bloodwood!

This would pretty much be my perfect Traditional with cocobolo or micarta. And I JUST pushed 'buy' on one of the #15 boy's huckleberrys...
I'll leave myself a reminder on the calendar for August - looks like all the pre-reserve slots are gobbled up.

I'm imagining a composite of these three knives for my SFO; the color of the Cherry Burl (top) and the shield of the "Harness-Lifter" on the venerable EO 'scout' platform, only with brass/NS construction. This will be MY 'Grail' knife! ;)

The bail will be removable. Just sayin'.

Any chance of running any spear blades on this SFO? That would be my grail...

What a great way to have your first ever SFO, Barry! This is going to be a special knife! It's going to have a very turn of the century look to it and be very modern all in one knife.
