I’ll let you know my recipe after you let me know how I can pry that Beerlow from your grips.

Light oil on steel, mask carefully, Rit dye bath of hot water and dye (no salt!). I used mix of dark green and black since I was dying over Golden Ale. Let it sit, check ever so often until you get slightly darker than you want (it will lighten as you clean it up). Repeat as necessary. Rinse and blow out excess, oil.

Are beer scouts with a spear point more rare?

Absolutely….ten spear points vs probably a couple thousand with sheepsfoot (2015 and 2016 production). This is one of three BSKs in blood red sawcut and there are no other blood red BSKs, sheepsfoot or otherwise. They also made five ivory bone and two tortoise shell acrylic spear point BSKs but there are many other BSKs with those covers but with the standard sheepsfoot blades.
