The best quality EDC (folder) for under 40$

I like the Skyline. Light, sharpens up beautifully, high quality and feels good in the hand.

Day off; bored

So far, Ontario RAT-1 has eight votes
Kershaw Skyline has seven
Spyderco Tenacious has six votes
Six others endorse various Spyderco products, especially the Byrd line
Five people have mentioned various Buck products
Four votes for various Kershaw (not including the Skyline), and four have said something by Ka-bar. Not keeping track that closely, but Dozier seems to be the first choice among Ka-bars.
Three for Case
Boker Trance also gets three
Two people like the CS Voyagers, and also two votes for the Enlan/Sanremu, which I have never heard of, and that alone makes it worth looking at.
Benchmade and Gerber also get honorable mentions. I didn't count any of the half dozen or so that I rotate through because I don't stick with one EDC.

I'll throw it out there (in case it hasn't been mentioned). Opinel. Stainless or carbon, they seriously kick ass, and they could easily be worth 3 times their price.

This knife BOKER SUBCOM TITAN an interesting option $ 35.00 : D

What about the Vulcan Coronado? AUS 8, assisted an in my opinion, a totally awesome blade shape.

My favorite knives under $40:

Schrade USA 34OT: $10 at an antique store.
Schrade USA 194OT linerlock single-blade trapper: $19 on the 'bay.
Schrade Walden USA 293 trapper: $18 at a flea market

You can find some pretty neat deals out there if you wait long enough.
