The best Tactical/Combat folder for under $250.00 is???

Just bought I Spyderco Military.
As Tactical/Combat folder I think it´s in the top 10.
(for only combat look at the Spyderco Civilian)
And the ZT 200 or 300 are also on my want to have list.

I own a fair amount of folders and just bought a ZT 0302 and it is hands down the toughest. It is THE only folder I have owned that I don't have to worry about lock failure and the ensuing loss of fingers due to the thick bank vault frame lock. It cuts like a razor and is so tough you have to see it to believe it. Not really an EDC knife as it is heavy, need to wear jeans, not khakis. Plus, it's half the price of a strider and just as good.

Not sure if anyone has said it yet;), but I think that the ZT0200 would be an excellent choice for under $250.00:D:thumbup: I like it so well I have my second one coming from the pharmacy tomorrow! This is a WHOLE lot of knife for the money. Also have a Strider AR w/Digicam Ghost finish coiming in tomorrow, but that would go under the "Best Tactical/Combat folder for over $250.00 is ??":D:D:D

If you don't use em for things they aren't intended for, pony up for a Rijbak or Spydie Military. If you're prying apart skids or something else idiotic like that, pay $50.00 for a griptilian or the largest voyager you can find and enjoy it til they break. Personally, if I was in your place, I would get a Rijbak if you can find one for around $150.00, and also get a Spyderco Pacifica, basically a completely stainless Endura, which you can find for around $60.00. Also, gotta have a multi-tool, so yourself a Leatherman Surge for about $70.00 plus another$12.00 for the bit kit and scrounge up a few extra jigsaw blades to go along w/ it.

Well as you can see there are a lot of choices but at that price if I wanted something that I would have to rely on as a surrogate fixed blade, the ZT 200 is an absolute tank with great ergonomics, good blade steel and a very versitile blade shape. There are many other fine choices but that would top my list. If you knew you were going to be able to restrict the knife's duties purely to cutting, then the spydie military would be a more lightweight/less bulky choice and an excellent cutter. But not as crazy brawny as the 0200. And I'd put the BM 710 as a great compromise in between the two.
