The best used knife you've ever purchased was...?

Spyderco Manix 2 CTS-XHP sprint run. Between it and my Gayle Bradley 1 they've seen a lot of work.

I've scored a lot of good ones on the exchange though.

Spyderco Southard
Spyderco Para 3 lw Spy27
Spyderco Domino
Pro-Tech Malibu
ZT 0095BLKS90V

Many others bought and sold over the years.

Bought a sterile Peter Bauchop Witch off of a table at a gun show for $75. Seller had gotten it in a box of stuff at an estate sale. I didn't have the money at the time, and asked if he'd hold it for me until the next day. He agreed, and I was off to secure funds. The next day, I was back with the cash. Before the money traded hands, I asked him if he knew what he was selling? "A knife." So I told him what it was, and what it was worth, and he smiled. Then he told me that about 5 minutes after I had left his table, a woman dealer from a nearby table, who had seen it when we were talking, offered him $300 for it. She was a dealer, but was also a buyer for rich client in Kansas City. He told her we had a deal, but if I didn't come back it was hers. I told him I was surprised he didn't just sell it to her. He said thought about it, he didn't really need the money, and would rather see it go to someone who would actually appreciate it.

That was 20 years ago. It's within reach as I type this.....

This darn thing has converted me to appreciate "tanto" point knives.
It's my fave steel 154CM, too. :)

I bought all of these off of the exchange for well under their original sale prices. Well, I traded a Spyderco PM3 for the Recon Scout and a Carbon V Recon Tanto, but it was still a great deal.

The Laredo is an old Carbon V model with brown leather sheath - it's a factory 2nd but other than a little patina I can't find any flaw with it. I bought off the exchange for $120, which I consider a steal.

These two come immediately to mind. Both were purchased off the BF Exchange.
The William Henry Tom Brown Quest has been a companion for 12 years. The Pro-Tech Malibu has pretty much taken it's place. I was looking for and couldn't find a Malibu, and one popped up on the Exchange. Lucky me!
