The Big Bad Mammoth Thread

I think that would be my favorite as well, Serg. Man oh man .... why isn't CRK using stuff like this anymore? I suppose that it is a cost thing, because I know the stuff is still out there to be had.

There are some really sweet Mammoth's posted in here. I have been wanting a CRK for a few years now, just haven't been able to talk myself into buying one till now. Been reading and looking; the Mammoth bark and box elder seem to be my 2 favorite inlays because they seem to have more unique patterns than the other inlays.

I will probably pick a mammoth up but there are slim pickings right now compared to the ones posted along with a nice premium. I hope to be able to share a nice Mammoth inlayed CRK very soon, even though it may not compare to the ones I have seen here.

Just received my first small sebenza with mammoth yesterday and I reall like it.

Been meaning to post this one here,

Wow^^^nice knife and pics:thumbup:

Thank you, i'd like to get a large mammoth to go along with my small in the future, I really like the feel and look of the ivory vs. the wood inlays as beautiful as they are as well.

I just got two new mammoth Mnandis. How often do you apply Renaissance wax to the ivory? When they look dull, or on a time schedule?

I alway carry mine in a pouch and honestly have never seen a change in appearance. If you don't subject the mammoth to a harsh environment, applying ren wax every 6 months or so should be fine. I'm sure the advice varies from one person to the next.
