The BK21 Fatwood Harvest

Saban can coach, no question about it. I hear is is making a cool, $11,125,000 a year. So far, he seems to be worth every penny. hell, I'd settle for the 125,000!
But I guess MTM can point out this years Auburn Alabama game . . .
I'd like to hear the story of how things went at y'all's house in 2013. I bet that was a hoot!

2013 was definitely a year of quick ups and downs. Lol! Most people would be surprised to hear that things are quite civil in our house. I cheer for Auburn when they’re not playing Bama, and Jonny sorta cheers for Bama when they’re not playing Auburn. :)

This year’s game was probably the most intense for me, just because I was so upset at how crappy we were playing. But when it was all said and done, I shook Jonny’s hand and congratulated him. It wasn’t necessarily easy, but I did it. :D

Let's just say that Auburn was the only team that could beat Alabama this year...:D

Another awesome outing Thanks 91bravo 91bravo and MarriedTheMedic MarriedTheMedic for sharing ya'lls day with us.

Does anybody else here refer to it as lighter knot or is that just a Florida swamp thang?

Thanks brother! I've heard it called lighter knot, fat lighter, heart pine and all sorts of stuff. It all does the same thing though.... burn baby burn!

All I have to do is drive a few miles to place I can whop and chip but not wanting to have snow fall down from the trees on me I don't. So I stay nice and warm by the glow of the computer while looking stoic and reserved.

Cedar stumps do produce a little pitch in them, but nothing like pine. This particular one is pine, we knocked all the bark off it about 5 years ago, before we started cutting into it.

lol, a thread about fat wood hits three pages in far less than than the snark stuff. i think i see your guy's priorities ;)

nice pitchy pine there. how it glows.

no TIDE talk, can't be having the authorities on us ;)

Do you know what type of treevthat stump is from ?
Red pine?

Not sure what kind of pine it was. That's one thing we haven't been able to determine. We know it's pine, by the bark that we strip off before we tap into it. I guess we don't have the botany knowledge to distinguish between certain types. We do take a knife and whack off a piece to smell it. The good stuff will smell like turpentine/pine sol/heart pine.
