As I stated in "Idea for a Thread," this is the "official" Blade Forums Museum. The curator comes to you and says, "We are asking for your very best, absolute, drop dead, most prized, most spotlighted knife in your collection! However, there is two rules. One...you can only donate ONE knife. That's it. Two...NO exceptions."

This should be fun to see everyone's most cherished item and very challenging to all of you to make that decision. Good luck!

I have two most prized knives, but if I have to choose only one then it would be my Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6 that I converted into a switchblade. That's the knife I would want to be remembered for. You won't find another one.

A mere picture isn't enough. You'll want to see it in action. A video to accompany my exhibit.

And just for the hell of it, a pic of my two most prized knives. The other is a manual Ti-Lite 6 that I customized.

To my surprise, because I absolutely love many of my knives, this one popped up immediately. I reconsidered... and no doubt this is the one.
My design, inspired both by a "triangular dagger" mentioned in a novel and a knife faintly seen in a movie (probably a Ka-Bar boot knife), and made by one of my favorite makers (Stoil Manchev from Sofia, Bulgaria) :

What is it ? It's like a Buck blade with a coke bottle handle... It shows scars of life but is still fully serviceable. I like it.

Thanks! I can get the name off the blade, and I'll edit the post over the weekend.
My Grampa was a real deer hunter... He hunted so that they could eat, and nobody ever went hungry in his house.
Every good thing I ever learned came from him, and I still miss him after 39 years...

How about some Ivory for this virtual museum? GEC #85 Bullet End Jack in interior Elephant Ivory

Absolutely beautiful knife. I'm a die hard fan of equal end patterns anyway but the EO frame is the cherry on the cake ! What evades me is "why the match striker pull ?". Yes, I know, tradition, but it makes keeping the blade clean such an incredible pain. And the EO frame is exactly what can eliminate nail nicks, straight pulls and match striker pulls (honestly, the worst !). What gives ?

Museum implies history, right? Herters = a big part of history of outdoorsmen and their gear. Thus this selection. It has been there and done that, living a good part of it's life in Alaska fulfilling the duties a backcountry knife is required to perform. It's more than earned the custom sheath that a Jefferson City Missouri saddlemaker did back in the 1980's. I understand you guys posting up fancy new knives. But for a real knife museum. My thinking differs.Herters 1.jpg

The knife museum wouldn’t be complete without the classic Buck 110. This one is S30V and ebony wood. A user. Great thread

I nearly posted my 110. Then thought about that somewhat unique old Herters. No knife museum would be complete without a 110. Wonder who will be the first to put up a 119 and the rest of the Buck fixed blade lineup?

Indeed. I like your selection as well. I also thought about a family photo, but didn’t want to take the fun out of it for someone else. There’s a handful of Bucks that I suspect will end up in this museum thread

This is my choice. 1 of 13 Limited Edition Buck 212 jigged Buffalo horn scales with wood spacers.

Then I used it to eat corned beef and cabbage with various acidic condiments for about a week. To build a beautiful natural patina 29B797F9-9D47-435D-813B-1F30D71A8417.jpeg
