This is a short and to the point account of 1 order placed with this company by me. The time frame will be from when I place the order untill it was on the truck headed for me. At that point the company had done their job and it was up to UPS... in this case.
Also included here is when I was provided a tracking number and how it was provided.
Order was placed 4 February 2008 in the morning.
Phone order, I talked with Will.
I ordered 2 Spyderco Atlantic Salts.
I asked if they were in stock. He said they were but he did not know where, there was a choice of 3 warehouse locations... his system did not show where they were.
I told him fine... but they had to ship that day.. PERIOD I made that point again. He said they would. I was given an Order number.
I received an email almost immediatly recapping and verifing my order.
My CC was then charged.
Heard nothing else that day. No email or call with tracking number.
I called the next day...5 February 2008 in the afternoon. I talked with Brandon and asked him for a tracking number on my order. He provided it.
The order had in fact been shipped the day before as I had requested.
Both Will & Brandon were helpful and courteous in my experience.
Job done by the company at this point.
This experience was a positive one for me.
I would suggest however that a tracking number be provided the customer either by email or phone call... as soon as it is avaiable.
The customer should not have to ask for it.... IMO
