The On-Line Magazine will be a reality. We will have a test issue which will be FREE and hopefully we can have it up by late August.

I will need help from members who wish to donate their time for articles and testing and such. Please email me or post here so I know who I can contact at the right time.

Mike, I can test or review for you, prefer the utility or combat type blade, especially anything geared at civilian urban use (seven.five inches and under.) should you ned any other sort of article done, so lon as I can properly research will do it.

Count me in too, I throughly enjoy hackin'& slashin'; slicing and dicing. I have thought of becoming a sous chef just so I can have a job of cutting things, and get paid for it.-Brian

I don't know what I might be able to do, but if anything comes to mind feel free to give me a call.

Looking forward to see the first issue.

Will be glad to help with how-to's on all aspects of bladesmithing and equipment including experiments in progress and doing testing. Can provide pic.s with digital.

Also I want to get my hands on knifes that I cannot afford yet.

And I live out on a ranch, so that could also help on the reviews on what I cut up from time to time.

Certainly there'll be a section for me to enthrall the masses with my splendorous cynical wit and dynamic charm. I love destroying stuff too and critiquing how it didn't stand up to my ugliness. Count me in!

I am a fairly decent writer and would thoroughly enjoy writing some articles for the online mag. I feel it is necessary to step up the quality of cutlery journalism and Blade Forums on-line mag can be the first to do so!

Let me know if you need my services.

Mike,

For articles on knives will you have a minimum standards for testing? As in edge holding, whack test (love that idkydg commercial) for folders, slice the hemp rope, etc.

Will writers get paid for articles published? Do we have to return the knife after testing?

I'd love to do it. Being summer and all I have virtually nothing to do but read the forums and work in my shop. So if you need someone to test or review stuff I'm your man.

Sincerely,
Adam

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. If anyone has anything they want me to test, I'll be more than happy to do so and write it up for public scrutiny.

Why should I publish anything I write in the magazine rather than post it on the appropriate forum?

For once I'm not trying to be sarcastic; it's a serious question. It's not that I can't think of any possible reasons; it's that I don't as yet know what reasons actually apply.

Mike,

It sounds like alot of fun - and a good way to work off the stress from the regular 9-5.

I enjoy knives, history, and the outdoors in that order. Whoops ... guess I'll have to include the other half somewhere in the top 3.

Let me know how I can help.

Sorry But I can't help.........If you let me test a knife that I really liked then I wouldn't want to give it back!!

Dear Mike,
I would be more than happy to submit something for your consideration. Thank you, and good luck!

Joe

P.S. Cougar, the purpose of the magazine is to help raise money for the BladeForums site.
We'd hate to lose it now, wouldn't we?

I would be happy to do reviews or such.

I also can do interviews.

But you have a great number of people in line already, so, let me know if you need me.

Marion David Poff aka Eye, one can msg me at mdpoff@hotmail.com

I wrote a review of the Kasper AFCK variant, an interview of Bob Kasper, and some thoughts and brainstorms of the AFCK in general. It can be found in the Reviews Section. If you have the time, check it out and tell me what you think.

I'd like to help. I have several years of experience writing music reviews for my college newspaper (that was a few years ago), and I have pretty good experience with knives, too. I also would consider sunmitting one of my custom Kydex sheaths for review, if you'd be interested.

I don't especially want to write, but I'd be happy to proofread.
