The Buck wish list thread

I'll have a 192 Vanguard please. Question though, have they changed the sheath to a cheaper thinner one? I note on the Buck website they list the sheath as imported? I see a distinct difference between the older and newer ones.
In one review I read the reviewer said the knife itself looked to be made in Pakistan. I wonder if that person received a counterfeit?

It's the internet, people can say what they want.

There are sadly, however, many counterfeit Buck knives and the 192 is a popular model to clone. See the 'sticky' at the beginning of this forum...

- Anything in the 300 Series with at least S30V steel and long pulls.
- Burlap micarta on either a Vantage or Marksman or Paradigm or Spitfire or Bantam.
- Sprint with ebony or dymalux.
- 112 Slim TRX with ebony or dymalux.

Please No Cerakote on any of them.
I'm in for a bulap micarta Marksman!! I absolutely agree with no blade coating. My preference is 420HC - unless they find a pile of 425MOD laying in a corner somewhere. :)

I would like to see the drop point option more commonly available in the different versions of the 110 and 112.

So I pulled the trigger on this knife via a Buck dealer on Amazon.
We'll see when it get's here. ;)

If I bought a knife from somewhere besides Buck or a known reputable dealer and the knife looked Pakistani or something I'd verify the knife before complaining on their website.

I may have said it before, but I'd like to see an 055LT because I just think it would be cool and they'd probably sell well.
I could see them Flying off the shelves at Walmart or something for $15, but I'd have no problem paying $30 anywhere for one.

Mine appears to be the real deal. Fit finish etc. just as described they should be from other Buck 192 Vanguard owners. I'm satisfied.

A light weight 55?? That's a good idea. I carried one the other day and I remember thinking...man, this is way too heavy. If only they could shave an ounce off I'd be all set. Or they should include a sheath for the original. That way we wouldn't have that brick banging around in our pockets....

the 505 isn't heavy, yet they made the 425, 283, 524 alumni, and that titanium one a long time ago.
I just think an orange 055LT that matches the 110LT would be cool and I'd buy one, but it would also be economical and get an American made Buck of this size into a lot more pockets.
I've heard many people complain that the 055 isn't that much cheaper than a 110, and used to cost almost 2x the price of a 110.
I think it's worth every penny, but I know some people don't.

I wouldn't mind picking up some 55LT's to match my colorful 110LT's.

Or more paperstone options.

You're right, and I have all of those models....they're nice little "trinkets"

This is the only one I've ever seen as well, and it's extremely easy to slip into my pocket. I wish paperstone 55's were a regular production item.
I didn't even catch that this was an 055, for some reason I just assumed it was a 110 without even thinking to look at the model number.
