The Buck you got to Have No Matter the Cost

Here's the 103 blade that jb4570 was talking about...
I'm going to have Leroy, Stone or David Yellowhorse
put a handle on it... I really like it the way it is...

103...

:)

Just found a new "gotta have"!! I would take that gold etch scene on a 110 and would be happy, happy, happy. :)
So I guess my gotta have knife doesn't even exist….but I would take an unfinished 103. Aaaaaaaaarmand, Armand ol' buddy. :D

Sorry buddy, many have tried to get this baby from me...
They only made 3 of them... I sure wish I could see that
Mountain Man Bowie jb messed out on... I want that one...

:)

I'm easy. A drop-point 110 without finger grooves. No damascus, super steel, exotic handle material, high end custom work or other fancy'n up.

Here's some more info on the 103 blade... This letter belongs to Tim...
He's on the forum some times...

:)

Money does matter because we're one those families that live pay check to pay check(half the time anyway)! I must have a higher end Buck either a custom 501, 112 or 110, also considering a 110 Alaskan Guide or perhaps a Yellow Horse model. I'm having a heck of a time trying to decide!!

Growing up in lakeside ca. About 15 miles from El Cajon I had the chance to visit the factory. Wow! Too cool! Anyway long time ago. I want someday a nic. Silver 112 FG And maybe convert a drop point blade in.

Nuto,
Your trying to cause trouble? Lol, I have more than two over the years. The problem is each time I see another one it's the one I just have to have. Jb4570

the one MUST HAVE Buck that I have sworn to locate and buy one day over the next year is an un used double automatic conversion 110. From what I understand the good D/A 110's have the round button on the side to open the knife. From what I have read you want to avoid the automatic 110 conversions that have the oblong button on the side. The D/A round button 110 supposedly has the superior spring system and is also supposedly converted by more qualified people. I have been chasing one of these for a couple of years. Every time I find them the have just sold. The one I am after is usually a redwood or fine walnut scaled round button nickel double action. They have no visible pins in the scales. The scales also to appear to have been oiled and polished. The blade itself is usually 420HC but also usually have the nice anvil stamp etc. Have yet to see a stone cold standard 110 blade on any of them. Sometimes I will see fancier more dressed up D/A 110's with S30V and one or two other steels besides 420HC then again the pimped out autos are almost always twice as much as the still very nice redwood/walnut version.

Buck 172 Mayo
Buck 532 w/BG-42 Blade
Buck 703 Colt
Buck 560 w/SV30 Blade

Any of the above can be difficult or impossible to find, but they are worth whatever money you have to pay.

I'm going to post about two that have been considered by Buck, but so far have not been offered.

Both are Buck 110s….a Buck made auto and a Paradigm 110.

I would probably choose a Buck Paradigm 110 Pro with a pocket clip though and carry it 99% of the time.

I love Buck's Paradigm action, but I much prefer using a Buck 110 with a clip point.

For me it's a 903 Bowie with 4 four generations of knife makers gold etching , there is one for sale on a website here in France but I don't got enough money at this time . May be soon ...
