Steve's BF is still my favorite. Old School glow powder phenolic handle and CPM154. I put a new edge on it for him and haven't seen it since...

When I designed the Bushfinger, I thought, wow, this is a really professional design. It was a milestone for me. Its still one of my favorites.

dyed buckeye burlIt is a great model. Excellent all-a-rounder. I did some whittling and carving with Bill's when I borrowed it, and now I have handled one though a good bit of food prep. One seldom, and I can't say that I have actually, runs across a knife that handles so many tasks so well and so comfortably. If I did more hunting than experiments in the field, the mid-tech Bushfinger would live on my bottle kit in my truck instead of the Mid-Tech Kephart.
I don't remember what the wood is on that green one, but I remember groaning over it slipping by too. A few of the green ones really caught my attention, and that one is just stunning.

Sweet Bushfinger NOLA! Is it nat bolstered Cocobolo?
No it's red. It's nat bolstered bloodwood.
THAT is a friggen sweeet combo group! I love the SP101 - heavy but a classic. If you run out of rounds you can always beat them with it.![]()
The glow fanger is pretty cool. I really like Gus' custom shop BF, wish more of those would pop up from time to time.
