The Bushfinger thread

Steve's BF is still my favorite. Old School glow powder phenolic handle and CPM154. I put a new edge on it for him and haven't seen it since...

Yup, this one is sweet.

When I designed the Bushfinger, I thought, wow, this is a really professional design. It was a milestone for me. Its still one of my favorites.

It is a great model. Excellent all-a-rounder. I did some whittling and carving with Bill's when I borrowed it, and now I have handled one though a good bit of food prep. One seldom, and I can't say that I have actually, runs across a knife that handles so many tasks so well and so comfortably. If I did more hunting than experiments in the field, the mid-tech Bushfinger would live on my bottle kit in my truck instead of the Mid-Tech Kephart.

I don't remember what the wood is on that green one, but I remember groaning over it slipping by too. A few of the green ones really caught my attention, and that one is just stunning.

No it's red. It's nat bolstered bloodwood.

Oh OK, I get those two mixed up for some reason, but you're right the bloodwood has a more reddish hue. The bloodwood with nat bolster looks great!

THAT is a friggen sweeet combo group! I love the SP101 - heavy but a classic. If you run out of rounds you can always beat them with it. :D

LOL! Thanks Jerry! Yeah your right, those SP101 are built like a steel vault, but weighs like one too!

The glow fanger is pretty cool. I really like Gus' custom shop BF, wish more of those would pop up from time to time.

There are some really stellar Bushfingers in this thread! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd pay a cover charge to see Gus' entire collection. :D
