THE BUSSE CHAT THREAD!

This popped up on FB - I really like the handle material - anyone knkw what it's called or seen this before?
Said it belonged to Dan Haung - is that Lu Kang? If so, this cat must have a million dollars worth of high end INFI

Thanks for the photos . Those Liberty Hearts look amazing . I don’t think that blade shape is practical for what I do at camp / on outdoor trips though . I picked up an SHE-2 and a saber grind SFNO on the exchange . Also interested in comparing with an ASH1 and HR (1) but those are proving difficult to find

Me 3.
Actually, I've got 2 company's I go to for knives
For pocket knives, I really like Spyderco & for fixed blades of course, there's Busse Combat
Ive carried CRK / Strider pocket knives for years . Just started into fixed blades . Got two White Rivers to start before I discovered Busse . Now have CPK DEK1 that is competing heavily with the RAD for time .

I carry a DEK2 daily, I love that knife. I just got an SR-3V RMD that’s about to see some belt time. View attachment 2371769

The one that started the obsession for SR-101/Res-C. I do love me some INFI, but for me if I can only have one blade, it’ll be in the previously stated combo all day everyday.View attachment 2371538
The DB-421might the best most well balanced all arounder to come from the Yard. I have two and two keep them. Also, I always wanted a GSO 7/7, but didn't want wait years, this is like a Res-C version 👍🍺🍺

SHE-2, SFNO saber grind, RAD .. all relatively new (to me). SFNO has no logo . Were they ever made without or was this stripped or did logo fade ? View attachment 2376933
I can't speak to whether or not that specific SFNO was stripped (but I don't *think* so)...however, Combat Grade models can be ordered sterile from Busse, & I have many that I requested this way over the years. I snagged this SFNO from Jared Oeser off the secondary way back before he started making premium slipjoints & folders, & it is a sterile original run CG SFNO.

this one looks amazing. yah I don't think its stripped looking at the machining. Do Busse's have serial numbers? I assume not.

Only Limited Editions are serialized EDIT: Actually, not entirely a true statement, as there have been serialized short runs & such.
The easier way to say it is: Normal/Standard production Combat Grade model runs are not serialized

Clearly a fake! I'll do you a solid and make it disappear to erase your shame of being duped into buying a fake...

actually... there's been some pics of numbering to match scales to blades over the years... you'd have to drill out the tubes to be able to check though...
