Ordered a Galley Rat today! David Brown made me do it! Hes 100% an enabler!
It was new from Busse and the price was right....and David made me!

Got my Desert Patrol today. I dig it! Its a bit tight in the sheath, but im pretty sure I know a guy who can make me a sheath....lol!
Dont worry David ill include lots of pictures with the email I send ya!

The ugly sheath i quickly made before the wife left for some appointment. I got too close to a few rivets and it needs a cleansing up and straightened out. It will work until the one David is making me arrives.
Yes! I have a kydex setup and I make the ugliest sheaths ever! Though gun,lighter,dip can,and other small things I can do no problem. A knife sheath well...I suck! Probably because I rush it? Also I know I can save myself time and aggravation by sending David an email and some cash! I like this way better...lol!

I actually got my heat gun out and went to the bathroom for a cig...only place I can smoke inside....and left it next to a heater by accident! Well it worked...lol! Got it soft enough I was able to adjust it.
The heater in my bathroom is for the cats. We keep it 63 in the house.

Next hunt is for a Rodent Trail! Its another one i missed our on and really really want!
Also im taking Mr. David Browns advice and saving for a Beating Heart. As long as I get it before October ill be happy. End of September-November is when I do most of my hiking and camping. The Beating Heart is gonna be my go to outdoor knife.

Man, I always find myself eyeing the Beating Heart whenever Im looking around the Busse store!
Ive always contemplated getting one.
I love my Liberty Heart & Fat ASH1
That Beating Heart is such a good looking blade ....

The Beating Heart to me is like a larger version of the Nano Fusion Natural Outlaw. Wasn't sure I would like it by but it was surprisingly around 21 ounces.

Maybe one day they will Nuke the Spine on the Beating Heart like the NFNO

When I joined someone said to just jump in so I did....lol!
The Beating Heart will take me a bit to save for.
Our dog sanctuary is priority #1 and 25 dogs with vet visits, heartworm pills,and medications for 2 of them gets expensive. Then they eat a special food because my 1 German Shepherd is allergic to everything! Think i have 16 or 17 30lb bags of dog food in the garage and thats not even a months worth of food! These dogs are spoiled! Always someone home with them and always getting into something! They're all indoor dogs...no kennels! Except for Ziggy! If i leave and he doesn't wanna go with me he runs to his kennel! He loves it in there! I turn the tv on for him and he get peace and sleep! Sometimes he doesn't wanna come out...lol! He has it hooked up in there! A soft bed, toys,tv...kennel is in the bedroom...so AC and Heat and no other dogs to bug him...lol

Right now play money is tight. Lots of yearly vet appointments happen in April and May. My 4 problem dogs gotta go soon! Which means a fight to get them in the jeep and one tries to eat me until in the jeep and is them my buddy again! Usually all 4 will also puke in my jeep! Usually right as we get home and im unlocking the gate.
Now the other 21 dogs....no problems at all!

I do have my eye on Beating Heart and sent an email today to see if it was still available. It is and hopefully In the weeks to come i can squirrel enough away to grab it!

Nope. The 1 moble vet isn't very good.
I actually interview my vets...lol!
I love my current vet! Everyone is very nice and they have all the newest equipment and stay up-to-date on new stuff.
Ill slack on my medical and health, but never my dogs or cats! They also give me a LEO discount and are just great with my animals.
If I needed im 100% positive my current vet would come to the house.
Its also fun to take most of the dogs. We usually go get ice cream and toys after the visit. The people in town love my dogs and seeing all the different ones. They're well known at the grocery store....lol!
Ziggy my rescue pit is famous because he was in the local paper for saving us at 2am from a fire in the garage! Him and Dakota are my special dogs! Dakota worked with me and will defend me to no end! She also works off of silent hand and other gestures I make.Ziggy is my boy! He was badly abused and afraid of everything and everyone. The shelter called me to meet him. As soon as he saw me his tail wagged and he came right to me for hugs....I cried..maybe..just a bit! We are very very close! Hes also my best behaved.

There's something about that FSH profile that really does it for me. I first saw an FSH when I joined here like 14 years ago and fell in love and honestly, I still can't find a design that I prefer more. The Beating Heart is a nice update to the FSH design with the wider blade. I tend to prefer thicker blades, but the .21 thick blade is actually really nicely balanced and has a nice agility to the it in the hand.

Yes, bring back the Nuclear Meltdown treatment!! I will scream this from the rooftops. I know it was a lot of effort for them to manufacture but it is truly one of my favorite design elements from Busse. There is nothing like that smooth, rounded INFI in the hand and I would happily pay a premium to have the option, so I hope one day they bring it back.

Wow, it sounds like you have a lot going on with the dogs! That's awesome though, it's a great thing that you're doing. I am sure they love you and are super grateful to have you in their lives! I'm sure the Beating Heart will be available when you are ready and I'm sure you will love it.
