Yes. It's G10. I wish it was just a touch wider...
But it's well within the "pretty good" category.

Bob Denman Is that black G10 on your satin AFBM? If so, how do you find it to feel in the hand grip wise?
I'm still tryimg to decide between black canvas and black G10.
I've got the G10 on a stonewashed model and it rounded off any edges so it feels very gentle on the hand but since G10 is solid, I wonder if it'll feel slippery when working it hard and you get a bit sweaty?
The black canvas I have (satin model, so the handle didn't get stonewashed) feels more porous and like it be great even when wet, but I like the jet black look of the G10.
Is the G10 in this new traction pattern on your satin model a little rough or pretty smooth or how would you rate it?
@Jaxx Those black scales on your '09 special edition model looks WILD! Like the back of an alligator or crocodile! I LOVE IT!
Thanks!I have a few users in black g10. I also have a new tac7 and it was sharp when I got it. Just handling it a lot has smoothed it down some and my users are much more smooth. I almost always wear a glove so traction is never an issue but I usually prefer the feel of g10 in hand. You can't go wrong with either

When should we start sending the emails?Satin finish w/black canvas coming to Utah.
Hope I get a few sheath orders![]()
I vote we use yours!Need MOAB bend test![]()
Lolol. At that point it would be unwieldy and snap wrists. You would need 2 hand grip for something that size.I just had a wild idea, what if that War train was grown to the Moab's size and fattened up?
Haha, you think I'm poor now! Just wait till after this weekend!
Those are some real beauties! I have been wondering what those smooth handle scales were all about on a few models I had seen. Now I know, thanks for that!
I keep going back and forth. With how thick this is I really need non magnum handles. Spending 2k on a knife that I don't like the thickness of the grip seems like a waste and then I have to spend more to make the handles less
Jerry Busse @Garth Reckner can we get that option?
It could be called the "Big Ass Fat Bastard", and I'd buy it!Lolol. At that point it would be unwieldy and snap wrists. You would need 2 hand grip for something that size.
Although I’m all for a super thick 0.34”+ Ruck waki style blade down the line.

You're gonna have to grow a whole new bunch of Kydexes: to clothe these monsters!!
