$2K is a large chunk of change to anyone, no doubt. However, a 2K moab sells instantly on the exhange any day of the week, and theyre a true rarity. If you want one without the wait, they're a lot more.

Price is a fluid concept ,
If you use an inflation calculator & compare the price of a 2015 Moab to the current asking price ... It's pretty reasonable .

CPK K18s were almost 50% less for a similar amount of steel, but much longer and double-edged. However, I think Nathan concluded he’d way under-priced those blades.

He fixed that. They were $1900 at blade last year.

I keep going back and forth. With how thick this is I really need non magnum handles. Spending 2k on a knife that I don't like the thickness of the grip seems like a waste and then I have to spend more to make the handles less
