This is a thread for those that appreciate carbon and tool steels in their knives - especially their modern folders!

I'm finding that the trade off of a steel that can rust easier is worth it for the performance I gain! Here's a couple to get us started:

Super Blue Mule. This is one steel I’m glad I was able to try out. It takes a crazy keen edge, and holds it pretty well considering how amazing it is to sharpen. It is without a doubt my favorite steel to take to the stones.

Finest structured steel available at this particle volume thanks to Nitrogen, was released 2019. Capable of 67-68rc hardness after tempering. Similar chemistry to CPM 10v, Vanadis 8 type steels but with Carbon replaced with Nitrogen. Takes an insanely sticky fine edge and is very stable and long lasting, perfect steel for edge freeks.

52100 high carbon - this is actually a ball bearing steel.
Not a folder though.
Entire knife is one chunk of steel, this thing is built like a tank.

I received one from him in September and have been very impressed with it. Have a smoke creek in m4 as well. Both fantastic cutting tools.
