Good read with an abundant amount of information on the processes behind the way Nathan makes his knives. Made me appreciate mine that much more!

Hope this is ok. Not sure how much has changed in the process since this thread was originally posted. Nonetheless it's worth looking/reading through.

Thanks for the pic Bob, those look to have sharpened tips as well? I think that I’ll be going with the same setup on my preorder.
 
Does acid wash add to corrosion resistance or is it for aeathetics only?
 
It helps to some degree to protect against oxidation, yes. But proper maintenance is the best prevention against it. With an acid wash or without it, lack of proper maintenance and cleaning will at some point adversely affect the steel, no matter how "almost stainless quality" it is.
