The Case Sowbelly - A Review

Great review Pàdruig Pàdruig . I’ve bought a Sowbelly recently and I love it!

True, but grinding down the kick too much can interfere with the flush aspect of the springs on open or closed. Caution needed, and I loathe sunk/raised springs, others may not be bothered by them.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I just checked mine and did not notice any negative effects on the spring (yet). Your mileage may vary.

A lot of great knives being posted here, I thought I might add another.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, a kind member here was sending me something that he thought I might like. Well, I got it in yesterday and he isn't wrong. This is a member whose contributions here are always appreciated. I've had a number of interactions with him in the past and not only have they always been enjoyable, but I've also received some excellent advice from him.

joeradza joeradza Alan reached out to me in order to send me a single blade Case Sowbelly. It arrived and I am immensely pleased with it. Sans secondary blades, one can really appreciate the shape of the frame, making for a slim, ergonomic carry. It sports the same wonderful action of the 3-blade and the fit and finish is pretty similar as well. Just a solid, superbly built knife.

Thank you, Alan. This knife went straight into the pocket yesterday and I expect it to be in regular use.

This thread seems to have fallen off but I'm reviving it to show my latest single blade Case Sowbelly. This 2002 Case SS single blade Sowbelly with jigged Antique bone covers arrived in today's mail. The fit and finish is superb and to me anyway the jigging is first rate.

Legend has it that the graceful sway of the frame is based on a sow's belly. Meet the Grand Champion Sow of the Modoc County Future Farmers of America Show from 2018. She belonged to a friend of ours son. He did a first rate job raising her.
