I got some Bonito Flakes... OK these are good!

I made some Ponzu sauce and holy crap! :D Tasty! lol I'm impressed

Very good stuff! $6 bought me more than I can use...

More knives today! I'm molding sheaths and finishing several projects.

Did you use the Herring's Dictionary or the Chef's Reminder, Daniel? Essential books! And, the Chef's Reminder book of sauces.

I just googled a bunch of recipes and came up with something that looked good... but I need to check those out!! I have a pretty decent library going as far as cookbooks go.

Knives, Cooking (especially smoking, fermenting, etc) Music/Tablature, Fiction, Hippy homesteading stuff... that's pretty much what I have as far as books go.

So what's up with this Chef stuff! Chef

lol they smell super foul and my cat came running in when I pulled the plastic off the bag but before I actually opened it! funky!

I read it was a good kitty snack and gave them some. I bought it to make dashi for stuff like miso soup. They taste kind of like bacon...

Lots of knives coming up.... I should be molding a sheath for the purple Backpacker today too!

I'm heat treating a bunch of fixed blades today and will be finishing them while i work on orders. I'm about to get back on outstanding orders only though, I have a big group of folders going to a very prominent dealer... super excited about it and will update more once I am closer.
 
Daniel- These three books are essential books for any serious chef. I was serious.
That was a different time tho. I was just going dowm memory lane. :p

Laminated up some top quality stabilized koa and carbon fiber for some seriously pimped out scales... getting excited about a new project!
 
Daniel, I made a drawer just for your stuff in my new storage case lol. Decided to actually put my knives into some kinda storage/case since I have a tendency to lose knives in the house. I'll head to the post office later to ship ya out some snackies.
 
Hah... losing knives in the house.. story of my knife life. I'm trying really hard to reduce and organize the herds.... I havec knives in six places in the house, lol... I actually can't store them hidden or safely from children, so I'm teaching knife safety at age 4 :)

I need lockable hiding places.. so far I have two Haliburton zero briefcases filled, dual layered... a pack full. 2 shelves. a corner. a cabinet.. and lol you get the point. HELP! :D

I hear you guys on the knives! We used to sell jewelry full time and they make inexpensive stackable trays and a bag for them... https://www.monsterslayer.com/pages/Display/Display.aspx (plastic trays and the bag below) I've always wanted to get a setup for the knives.

You can get cool cigar boxes from cigar stores...

I was going to make storage racks out of wood boards (guitar fretboard blanks) with magnets embedded in the back... you need a lot of magnets but they look cool.

My buddy has his insane rock collection in old bookshelves with glass lids that pull out and drop down...

My expensive and custom stuff goes in the safe, but I keep finding myself taking things out to make room for more guns :p

Going to start the paper work on my new pistol in the next few days, then it gets to sit in jail for 10 days. Pain in the butt, this state.

Sloth, just my pops and me living together so makes it easier for just knives laying in everywhere around the house but literally each area in the house has on knife or stabby thing ready for use.

But my fiance told me I need to make sure to lock up all the guns and knives when we have children. My safe is getting emptier and emptier as I am selling to save for the wedding costs which just starts in Jan lol. I still need to buy my 308 lowers before end of the year.

lol my kids took the childproofing off of out kitchen knife drawer! they know they are not supposed to be in there so it is like a magnet

Congrats on the upcoming wedding! I enjoyed the pics you guys posted on FB.
