Yeah D, you have the passion, skills, and tools! Keep at it and just remember that things do even out as far as good/bad.. good is coming next! Think about what sells and get some big batches back in action to supplement the craziness that is folders!

Maybe this is the year I get to snowboard with you... :D Wife wants me to go solo somewhere.. guess she is sick of me :D

cheers!

Storms always lift, they never last forever. I can relate the being hard headed and needing to just walk away, but not doing so and screwing things up worse.

Just remember, wealth isn't measured in dollar signs...

Heck, just make slingshots and more bottle openers... :D
Daniel- You have no worries as long as you, do the right thing.
Get at me any time, my good man.

Keep on truckin Daniel. Sounds like a frustrating few days.
I'm home today with a sick little one...ear infection 😣
I think I'm going to draw up a hidden tang fighter today if she goes down for a nap.

22 tons of pole wood are stacked by the wood shed. No worries for the next two winters.

Guys, it really means a lot. Thanks for the kind words!

Rolf that's a ton... err 22 tons of wood! Very nice! I have a load of deadfalls to cut this year, we are loaded down with tress to cut which is good.

Idea - 9" Bush/Camp Knife, 3/16" O1, straight spine, blade and handle, large 1.5" tall blade, tall double flat grinds or maybe compound chisel grind. forge finish, micart/g10/or hemp wrap?, no sheath, around $200...

That sounds like a steal.

Cool! I'm going to get one profiled out to show you guys the idea. Sometimes I get stuck on a concept and these really speak to me... would be a good knife for fall outdoors work, etc.

Once again, thanks guys! The comments really made my day and then some.

Daniel, that 9-10 inch OAL is a great size for camp and general rough use. That's also very close to the size of my Teak Rigger, it comes in right at 8.5" OAL. O1 will be great, especially if you target hardness I think at about 59-60 hRc. Not too hard to be brittle and tough enough to take a beating while holding a damn good edge!

Kevin, I know you love those guys, but c'mon man I gotta work the rest of the day with that playing in my head now!

I like it, though the lack of a sheath makes it tougher since I like to grab a new knife and go, and not spend time sourcing/making my own - maybe offer an option?. Micarta handles and brown leather plz. I'll start prepping the paypal. :D

Sounds good and thanks X! They are tempering right now at 477 F for 59-60 RC. :D

I just posted a pic too, they all vary in profile from my inspired straight top, a roach belly influenced shape... La Cucaracha, Pocket Fighter and drop point.

Thanks for the input Liam! I can offer a sheath as an option, sounds cool. I like that combo with the micarta too.

We got news yesterday evening that my Mom fell and is in the hospital with a broken femur. She has MS and is wheelchair bound, recently had a stroke and cancer. She had fallen for hours before my Dad came home and found her. I'm worried sick...

2 am and I'm back up.... please wish her luck.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. I hope she is ok. I hope you are ok too. Getting old/sick sucks.... And can be scary.. Falling is serious too, no joke.

Positive vibes sent to her and your family. Get sleep... Go hug your little ones too!

Much appreciated! It looks like the break went without major complications which we are all glad for. We just got word that there will not be any surgery so that is really good too.
