Evening guys, the wife had a rough day as little dude had his first trip to the ER. Totally bit it while running at the park, busted his chin wide open on the concrete. Wife almost panicked as they walked a mile to the park, but a very nice lady who lived nearby called her husband and they drove them home so my wife could take him to the hospital. He's ok, they were able to glue it and no stitches needed.

Working on his cool story to tell about how he fought off ninjas, lol! He did say that his scar will be better than mine though!

Time to rest, then up early to go shoot a match tomorrow!

Xander that is rough! Nothing worse than seeing your kids get hurt but very glad he is OK!

I've been trying to catch up on communications and coffee... have 3 cups in me now and am going to the shop!!!!!

How is work Rolf?

I have 10 folder orders that I am working on or about to start.. need to finish the 2 Backpackers with scales... profiled a huge chopper yesterday in .315" S7  the chopper is a new design and I am really liking it! Yesterday I went through half a box of new belts and ground 2 in mega thick Ti! It was literally a workout, I feel like I was doing bench press all day, lol. I'm really excited about these new fixed blades and folders!

if you need an analytical chemist/noob metallurgist i'm looking for work haha, I can characterize metals/alloys for ya :p

That's right Rolf!

Busy day but sore so cut out a bit early... usually I'm in the shop until 6:30. I marinated some beef, have caramel going for creme caramel and have a beverage started!

2-3 parts Bourbon - 1/2 part sweet vermouth - 1/2 part creme de cacao - cherry - 1/2 dried thai pepper (I'm rocking an Ancho piece this time and it is good)

It's a Manhattan variation and tasty! the bit of chocolate and smoky hot pepper make the drink to me

Have one for me.^
At our local park this afternoon, there were a group of mushroom hunters up there. My wife thinks they had Russian accents. They spoke very little English. Good stuff!

D, if I follow that drink mix, it looks like it should be in a pint glass.... how you feeling this morning?

What's up, boys?

They were probably planting bugs... :D

Mushroom season is on! I hope to go again, Chanterelles should be popping up soon and I can ID them too. Right now there are strawberries, raspberries, service berries and choke cherries too...

I saw three young foxes on the way to the shop! I thought they might have been baby coyotes....

Don't do that! :D lol parts not shots!maybe a jigger of bourbon and a dash of the other two... too sweet to drink more than one also but pretty tasty.

I am feeling rough today but it wasn't from the beverage... felt tired yesterday afternoon and now have a lymph node all swollen up like crazy! ughhh they are cutting hay down in the valley below me and that might not help...

I've been getting some rest this morning but am amped to hit the shop! So many new knives I want to make!!!!!
