The coin thread--post pictures of your traditional knives with a coin

This poor Susan B has been abused more than most of my knives (the only knife I've ever abused this badly probably shouldn't be mentioned in this section - my excuse being that I was young and stupid)

Don't know anything about the coin, other than Will sent it along with the Frontier. I'm guessing it's from Finland and maybe someday I'll get to travel there, as it's on my bucket list.
It is a Finnish 50 Euro Cent piece and I agree it's on my bucket list too  My mother and father are 100% from Finnish bloodlines so I tell people I am Made in the USA with Finnish parts :D

Slight correction ;) It's actually a FIVE senttiä the smallest denomination and equivalent of a penny. The 5 is in copper alloy, the 20 and 50 in a yellow brass alloy., with the Lion of Finland. Interesting thing about Euro coins is that each European country that uses the currency has their own designs on the coins, 5,10,20 cent 1 Euro, 2 Euro plus commemorative coins that can be in precious metal or high denomination. The Greek and Italian coins have the nicest designs.

Ahhh thank you Will ;) The picture I found online was brass and not copper  I'm only as smart as Google let's me be LoL :D

Would you tell me more about this nice fixed blade ? It reminded me of the Olsen co. From Michigan. But it’s probably a Western. Either one, it looks great.

Thanks, it’s actually a solingen knife. I wasn’t sure if posting non American made was against etiquette here, though, if so sorry. Btw, your photo of the walking liberty reminded me how truly beautiful those coins are—could stare at them for hours!

Solingen and Sheffield are the birthplaces of some outstanding traditional knives... they are quite alright in my book :D:thumbsup:
