The Cowbell Build Thread

Was getting ready to run out when I received a delivery alert man I was surprised that USPS came through
I jumped on my Mule (Kawasaki) to the mailbox and came right back home
Like a little kid I couldn't open it fast enough but was taking my time because it was packed so good
Definitely worth the wait, thank you for this excellent knife and sheath John
I love it, here's a quick inside pic, I'll try to take more later, have to run

Turns out, my mail carrier put it in the neighbors mailbox.

That neighbor put it in their mailbox today with a note to the carrier. It was picked up there and put in my mailbox today.

The neighbor is two houses down and could have brought it over but, for whatever reason, couldn’t be bothered.

Anyway. Happy ending. 😁

It was still all stapled and all…
Was the guy really gonna eat random food that showed up
on his porch?
I hate the city…

Ok, I have food left on my truck hood…
At my acreage…
I used to plow everyone’s driveway in our subdivision…
And they would ring the bell and say:
Randy, thanks I left a pie on your truck…
” “ cookies…
” “ pie… (I like pie)
A bit different maybe…

Anyway, I’m glad you found it Chris!!

Quick update on what's goin on in the shop:

Two Wild Cards ground and ready for heat treat, a stack of Cowbells ready to grind and a few ready for handsanding. Also working on the stacked leather project knives. Puttin together a Newsletter, hopefully will get it out tomorrow with the usual heads up beforehand.

Actually, my real knife problem is, I have q u I t e a few, yeah, but not a sharp one in or near the kitchen…😞 I know, don’t say it, I’m ashamed enough already…
 
Wild Cards are something I just started recently. I'm making the first two now, they'll be heading to some friends of ours. Here's a thread that explains them. The first two are craft knives, a small, simple blade to throw on the workbench.

I ordered groceries tonight...
Im falling & dizzy, & didn't want to drive...
Janets folks get back from 2 weeks in Whitehorse Yukon...
I wanted to put back stuff I ate/drank...
Anyway...

The guy went to the wrong place, yup, same place our food went to...
Ha, the feller came out telling the guy, not here! Not here!! He's a block over!!!? lol!! 🤣🤣

I wrote to call me for any reason...
But, whatever...
I think we've about had it with ordering...

But at least we got some groceries, lol!

UPS, dropped off the elaborately packaged cowbell knife this afternoon!!!

Well, John & Pease were kind enough to coach me on how to post an upright photo, and I did…
Two of the same pics…:rolleyes:
Since we were showing knives, not just boots & hats…
They we’re about all I could find to take a picture with, other than Roscoes chewed up, gutted, decapitated teddy bears…
Since this is a family show, I didn’t want to offend any kids, no matter how young or old!

You know how hard it was for me to get that tree growing sideways?
There is no sense to any of my so called intelligent devices!
Or their dumb operator!!
I edit, I copy 4 pics, load every direction &?

Lots of times a feller in the GreyLine, Dop, Scoot, I think Adam…
have put Roscoe right side up, and made my Harley not look like it’s doing a wheelie🙄
Good thing I got hurt before computers were a thing…
I would have been out of a job then anyway!!
 
I have the same problem I edit my photos with my iphone I rotate the photo four times so its back upright on the phone, save it and then use that photo to post and it works for me.
 
I use a phone app called Snapseed. Pretty easy to use and I've gotten use to it over the years. I can pick a photo, rotate, crop and save it. It has some editing options that are pretty quick and easy. Once you select the right size in the settings when you get the app it will automatically save most photos around 400 to 800kb. I upload them here and hit full image. It's a pretty painless procedure once you get used to it.
