Mailday on the Shadow IV and a big thanks to Water for the nice price and smooth transaction.
I'll enjoy this one just a little more than normal [emoji57]

Beautiful combo. As amazing as the fit and finish is on the sebenzas, the OPK are truely amazing in their own right.

Thank you Mr Nye, speaking with you was a big factor in buying my first OPK and I'm grateful you were willing to share your knowledge on the OPK lineup with me. I'm shocked I went from two Spyderco Mule fixed blades and nearly 3 dozen folders to two OPK's, an Impofu and a Ti-Lock but that's where I'm at and I'm perfectly happy with what I have to use.

No picture to show yet, but my first OPK is inbound. As with all of my knives (excluding my maple-benza) this one should see some good use. The one-price knives are respected for the wonder of their manufacturing, but their worth as users has seen some controversy and dissenting viewpoints. I am super excited to put some miles on this knife and compare it to some respected woods-knives I am lucky to already own. I have held off until now, but the recent OPK purchases on this forum enabled me to "justify" my "need" for another CRK. I'll let y'all know when in drops.

It would appear that I was just in the right place at the right time on Facebook...and have an early Regular coming.

Merry Xmas to me. :D

Congrats and that was a nice price too... s30v or bg42? although looking at the clip, I'd say it is a bg42..

Which one did you snatch up? I was surprised at the overall size difference between the 4" and 5.5", night and day difference but each feels great. The Aviator has actually been my daily carry recently, small enough that it's not out of place (if you're comfortable carrying a fixed) and the pancake sheath it's about the best I've come across.

I have a Mountaineer 1 inbound. No pancake sheath, but hopefully the standard folded one is ok. The Mntr1 has been my Grail OPK for a while (though honestly I was very on-the-fence about the OPKs in general). Anyways, I got a chance to snag one, so with some enabling by this thread, I bought in to the one-piece world.

My goal for this purchase is to fill a "need" I have for a smallish fixed woods-knife. I have a BRK Bravo 1 and a BRK Golok, so I have no real need for any larger fixed blades and both those Bark Rivers are awesome blades, and I have no complaints about them. I do find the Bravo a bit big and thick for lighter tasks, and I don't always feel safe whittling with a folder, so I'm hoping this Mntr1 OPK will deliver on being both smallish, and pointy. My other criteria was to not have a top guard, which I would prefer for the knife's intended uses. The mountaineer 1 is I think the same size as the aviator without the spine-saw and top guard.

Anyways......waiting on the postman at this point.

If I were to redo it i would have preferred the mountaineer over the Aviator simply for the single guard. The saw teeth are surprisingly nice to use as jimping, especially with a glove on. I'm sure you'll really enjoy your new Mountaineer, Cody.

Finally after a few months of searching, found me a nib Large Regular BG42. Thanks nyefmaker for pointing me to the right direction...

Will post up once received.. [emoji16]
