The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

I got a beautiful small 21 Bocote Ladder Damascus from a forum member......on its way. I absolutely love Bocote and the added beauty of DT Stainless Ladder Damascus....wow...!!! Funny because I already have people telling me they want it should I sell it.....lol. Will post pics as soon as it arrives along with my other recents.
 
I thought about getting that one to compliment my bocote damascus Mnandi, but alas, you had already scooped it up. Nice score!

Thats a beautiful mnandi. I was on the lookout for a mnandi as I havent had one in awhile, then the small bocote damascus came up and there went the mnandi funds for now. Bocote has long been my favorite wood and some just look so much better than others.

..........Oh how I love USPS. I moved last fall, the sort facility now that handles my packages always sends anything I order to the wrong location.....I get the "missent" destination. So its always taking me that extra day. Drives ya crazy when its a CRK in the mail.

Will be sure to post pics when it arrives, hopefully tomorrow...!!!

Okay Lone Wolfe, here ya go.....lol. Its a 2001 Large Annual. I am not even sure of the wood, I think its Spalted Maple perhaps....??? I have wanted an annual for years, but when I had chances, it just did not work out for one reason or another. I do have to call CRK and get a clip, I have to get one for another small regular I have anyways. Will post plenty of pics when she arrives.





With the great info posted to my CRK Timeline by DallasSTB, this is what was available in 2001:

2001 - California Buckeye; Maple Burl; Desert Ironwood; Bocote; Curly Maple

I would say its Maple Burl perhaps.....? I know its not Desert Ironwood, Bocote or Curly Maple. I am not sure what California Buckeye looks like, but since its a light wood, I am think the Maple Burl.

A forum member had it up for trade, I asked if he would be willing to sell it outright as I did not have what he was looking for and he accepted. Some of the dark woods are beautiful, but the lighter ones with character like this one stand out. I will take tons of pics when I get it for you to see it more clearly. These were the email pics he send me as I asked for front, back, lockup. I just wish the top one would rotate to make it easier to see and enjoy....lol. In photobucket, its the correct way, but when posted, its not. I will fix that when it arrives...... ;-)

BTW, there's a setting in your photobucket preferences to stop it from rotating your pics.

Hey Girl, I fixed it, Thanks. What I did was rotate it so the knife looked like the point was in the ground, and when it saved, it was to where it is now.....lol. I guess it kinda tricked photobucket in a way......lol. Oh well, will post some nice clear ones with closeups when it arrives. This is going to be a LONG week...Waiting....!!!

You and me both brother ....... you and me both!!! If it were a small, it would have been gone a while ago!!! Speaking of UGs ..... I also have one incoming (maybe tomorrow evening). Not posting a pic yet, because I am not 100% sure on it. It was another case of I like this .... but I don't quite know why!!!!

I am with both of you guys. I love the CRK CGG/UG. Out of all the CRK, they are my favorites by far.
