The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

Well, Got some bad news. The large 2011 annual I was looking to get on a dealer site never happened. The dealer showed they had them and I ordered one, never updated their site and had no more. So was a real bummer. So my hunt continues for a large annual once again. Would like something with a nice wood, not super plain.

On the bright side, my new small regular Night Sky did arrive. I will post pics on the weekend as I have gotten several emails and PM's from people wanting me to POST Pics of it....lol. It is a sweet little knife.

And on the INBOUND SIDE, I have a small regular plain jane double stud on the way. Its been a LONG time since I have had a small plain regular....several years at least. Not sure what I want to do with it yet. I might sell it, or I might send it in for some custom engraving to get done that I have talked to heather about getting for several years now. I would prefer to have it on a S30V large regular so I can get double studs, but a small regular would be nice too.

Just struck a deal with another BF member and this Lignum Vitae is headed my way today! It's my first Mnandi and I'm super excited that I was able to track one down in the exact inlay I was looking for!IMG_8071.jpegIMG_5543.jpg

A bit of an impulse buy but Desert Ironwood has always intrigued me. Not much grain pattern but am curious to see how it looks in person. The April 2006 bd helped me make my decision, there is something about the older Mnandis that I really like.

Well this one came in and has been returned. It was listed as mint, which imo means perfect, but it had indent marks around the pivot on both inlays. It appeared as though someone had pried out the pivot, using the inlay for leverage. The dealer refunded my money, less shipping both ways.
The reason I post this is because I just noticed it was relisted as mint with no mention of the aforementioned defects. Just wanted to post to "educate" anyone on this forum who might be considering purchasing it. I believe in full disclosure.

I've wavered on the mammoth bark and mammoth Sebs, I liked them, but only a few crossed that "I want it" line for me. I always thought I'd like the bark better than the core, but a particularly buttery core Seb with a subtle grain sang to me. It's less than a month old, and already going to it's third home. Come home to Momma, my little pretty...

Sweet ....! Saw that just before turning in last night. Also saw you interest and sort of knew it would be a done deal!

^ such a killer Mnandi. I wanted to jump all over that one but couldn't. That jigged finish looks so pleasing.

Very nice! I have one, but it's papers were lost in Afghanistan. Still, a cool knife.

Mark one off the sig line thanks to Franz!

Nice Jigged Madagascar Rosewood Mnandi. I had one years ago and sold it to a forum member. You don't see many around. They even did a sebenza with the Jigged Madagascar Rosewood as well.

Not as super duper special as my last two but cool because of how old it is. No birth card but the scales have the date code c02. Small regular
