Box Elder is a soft wood. Without stabilizing, it wouldn't be good as an inlay. The stabilizer makes it so strong that it's fine in a knife. Black Ash isn't much harder. It does have a very different look once you see it in person.

That's supposed to be my signature and is labeled so on Tapatalk. I'll look on the site using my computer to see how it can be changed.

Edit: Even after I verified on tapatalk it popped up the same way again. I'll delete it here and look for a remedy. Can I even include a signature if I only have a basic account?

Sorry- I didn't see this earlier.
