I finally have a StarTac on the way. Been lusting for one for some time.

I'm getting the newest version, I don't really care for the LBS and the stamp but I like the cleaner look of the new pivot. Blasphemy it seems, is the new pivot that bad, or is it just about looks that people prefer the old version?

Anyhoo, I plan on making this my user, a literal EDC. I can't wait!

Well, I have to thank lisantica for starting her "I need another Mnandi thread to read" thread! The pic of her Cocobolo Mnandi gave me the nudge I needed. I have been looking for a cocobolo for some time now. Problem is, I really wanted something a little different .... more than just the straight-line grain often seen. Also something with contrasting reds. I finally found one I liked (but was holding off for a while, trying to see if I found something that struck my fancy more). Well, her thread was just what I needed to get me to make a decision. And, this one could be a cousin to hers. Hope to see her arrive sometime next week:

Did some friendly trading with a buddy of mine and scored these 3 today. Not really anticipating since I already have them but I'll post pics anyway. I'm still not sure about the Gabon, it may be a catch and release...we'll see
