The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

Congrats nyefmaker, your on a roll buying all the rare ones. You gotta love the annuals, they're the only ones with the inlays and the inlays on the regular are second to none.

Your a Lucky Man, nyefmaker they're both Keepers for sure.

Many Thanks My Friend....!!!

Well ..... it was raining cats and dogs again today ..... and you know what they say .... when it rains, it pours. Got a call from the place I bought that 2000 serrated annual. Their shopping cart did not update and the knife was actually sold last night shortly after it was listed (figures!). So, I will now not get to see what a serrated annual looks like in person.

I had that happen with a crk dealer earlier this year. They refunded me, no problem; but it sucks that all this time they have it listed and its actually not available. Mine was a 2011 large annual. Wonder if its the same dealer.....???

I hear you about the rain. I am in PA as well and the rain last night washed away half the sidewalk in the front of the house. Insurance of PennDot does not cover it, so its out of pocket for us. Sucks Big Time........

Bummer, I was looking forward to your pics? Just curious, what was the price of it?

Price, and the fact that there probably aren't very many of them out there (have yet to see or find reference to one), probably attributed to it being snatched up last night. It was on consignment and the listing price was only $500! If mint, as described, that's a phenomenally low price for an annual ..... especially a somewhat rare one. (Again, calling it rare only because I've not seen one before or heard anyone discussing a serrated annual.) Some of the longtime collectors may know better.

Don't know whether I did a good thing or ..... not so! Got a new arrivals message yesterday from a custom knife dealer I've purchased from before. At the time, was too busy to look at what was new. Remembered this AM and went to the site and saw this one. Have not seen any (though there must be a number of them out there) annuals with serrated edges, so it caught my eye. Pic on the site wasn't that good, but the description said it was a 2000 edition, in mint condition, with maple burl inlay and BG42 blade. Impulse took over and bought it. So, now will wait to see if I am happy when it gets here. Not a huge fan of serrated (or partially serrated) blades .... but don't plan on using it anyway!!!

Now, the wait begins.

That's interesting. I saw that one a couple days ago and sent a note to another forum member who was looking for annuals yesterday. I almost bought it earlier this week but decided against it. I wonder if he bought it?

Thanks again to BHQ for finding me another great Honduran Rosewood. Sorry for the bad picks, I'll take better when I get my hands on it. I already have another large HR Sebe so I'm thinking about sending this one to CRK for a damascus blade.

Wow, nice! I'd get me one if BHQ would send me something beside their stock pics.

Well, I've wanted one of these ever since I heard about them coming out. I held off on buying the full KACF version and decided to go for the Large Inlay......
