What a beautiful and very rare find! Congratulations Alex!

Wow! Congrats on a rare find! Only thing I seem to find lately is hospital rooms! Old age ain't for sissies! (If the fairer but seemingly stronger sex will forgive my complainin.)

I wish you are doing fine now my friend. Hoping you get back on your feet soon and show us some more photos in this thread!

I knew it was going to be a 2010 as soon as I saw the Sebenza. Now I get to try in vain to pry it from him.

Lol. This should be interesting LW! I bet it will take a good amount of prying and a piece or two from your collection... :D

Where did you find that?!?

BTW, I just found this pic of an Umzimbeet Seb online...

There was an ad in a german knife magazin from a guy, offering 2, 3 CRK. One was a desert ironwood large Sebenza I was interested into, but it was already sold. The guy said "I also have a Mnandi" and I replied to him that I focussed my collection on Sebenza and that I was only interested into the desert ironwood Sebenza, but if he has pics available I would take a look. I also asked a pic of the box w. the lable and of the the birthcard. After receiving the pics I did some research and found that this inlay must be quite rare, maybe from a small run for a particular dealer? So I emailed the pics to Alex, having in mind that he focussed his collection on Mnandi, asked the seller about his price idea and whether it is okay for him to deal with a good friend of mine in Italy. It was fine for him so they made the deal. That's the story.

Yes Stefan, you are right and thank to you I will have it. To complete the story, I wrote to Angela and she was very kind to reply in one day: Anne remember that was a limited edition but could not tell how many pieces were done.

I saw the thread about the CRK online store being open for business. So I jumped on, ordered, and received these today. Using my recently acquired Small Starbenza to open it up. Not Large Regular Pheasant Tail, but got me some CRK stuff....

Decided to try a regular clip on the Ti-Lock. Need to shine it up a bit. Interestingly enough its the same color as the Ti clip.

New to me is this previously owned and loved Small Regular. Struggling with the age old question whether or not to have the scales blasted or left alone. It has some great character already built in. No box or papers so I'm thinking about sending it in for a re-issue card and box and get the other stuff to go with it so it's basically complete. I picked it up this morning from the PO and it wasn't too long before it was stripped down and getting a cleaning. It sure is smooth. I'm really liking this one and glad I was able to pick it up off the forum this week.

Quick question - as I've looked at pictures of the older Sebenzas I've noticed many have the single sided screws and I've also noticed the non-screw side is sometimes on the presentation side and other times on the lock side. Any idea which way they're supposed to be or does it really matter?

Single sided is the original configuration..Presentation side or not doesn't matter. It's personal preference.

Congrats! Great little knife :)

Just got in 2 this week. The CF had some snail trails, so I decided to scotchbrite the lockside as well as clean and lube the works. The Paw is a new purchase. Love 'em both!
