I now have 11 inbound.

I may have fallen down the rabbit hole.

Anybody got a favorite knife or case for storage they recommend?
 
I'll tell you right now... if you get a case for your CRK's, get one with no extra room/spaces in it. If you do not heed this warning, expect every open spot for another CRK to cost you between $500.00 and $1,000.00 on average depending on your tastes. You WILL fill those spaces inevitably. :)

The precut slots are great for large CRKs. Smalls are fine as long as you keep the lanyards on. Smalls without lanyards and mnandi take some filler in the bottom of the slots.

Was stuck between a small sebenza and a Mnandi but gave in after a little saving.

Unless they made very small ones I suppose.

I was just thinking of this the other day ( knife case ) since I have such a small amount of expensive knives I probably don't have to worry over it yet.

But I have been wondering is there any downside to storing the knives in the calfskin pouch for long periods of time? Right now my " storage " just tends to be me putting my knife in a calfskin pouch then wrapping the CKR microfiber cloth around it.

As I understand it, storing any knife in any sheath for prolonged periods could theoretically lead to rust. That said, Tim Reeve recently commented on this on Facebook and indicated he has not seen this issue at all with their knives and pouches. And if your knives are on rotation, I think it's much less of a concern.
