The crown for my collection >> SHOW ME YOUR's, PLEASE

I don't get it 100%. I suppose the top one is more Chris because its a process of elimination, and the bottom one Scott because the thin red lines. Last one Lisa because?

The top one to me looks a lot like a theme I have seen many times by Lisa, but she was trained by Chris and this is before her time?

Thanks for sharing your insight all.

Chris used only a few themes, circles, blocky straight lines, and arcs, in almost all the UG's he did. Here's 5 that he did, they all show the 3 basic design elements, just used to creatively to make these designs. The one exception here is Visions, where he used several thin lines.

The 2006 one is a Lisa simply because she's been doing all the UG's for 5 years by the time that one was done. From what I've see of Scott Cook's designs, he favored thin parallel lines, often in red. He also was the first i've see do a ribbon like you see in my knife above. Dinokay's Large looks like Chris's handiwork to me, although only CRK knows for sure right now, and all pre-date code one are before Lisa's time.

Damn, all this stuff I'm going to put in a UG timeline thread will already be in here! :D

Lisa has often taken an older design, such as my #19, Tempest, above, and put her own twist on it. Tempest was done in 1996, Moonrise was done 15 years later. I have no idea is she's even seen the older one, or just happened to create a similar design.

Thanks LW, I appreciate it. Dino's first has that recognizable design element I've seen to many times on a 21 I would have put money on it being a Lisa.

Just from a 1 minute search, but I've seen better examples....

My humble crown. Its the prettiest knife I could actually convince myself to carry. One day down the road maybe I can upgrade to a Damascus with Snakewood Inlay, but I am very pleased with this knife. Its a Large, my small doesn't have as much contrast.

Congrats on the 21st Anniversary Sebenza.

Two crowns from my collection...

Scott Cook Lochsa with Mother of Pearl and gold inlays.

Chris Reeve Nkonka prototype

My collection doesn't really have a crown, but a lot of knives essential for the UG timeline that I've put together. I now have a knife from every major step of CRK's UG history, with the exception of a Decorated Original non-P. The one that I thought I might never find, but did, and so mint it looks like it's never been closed, is the one I'm going to call my crown. A knife so valuable to me that it stays in my safe, only coming out for pictures, and even then it's kept apart and handled with great care. It's a Decorated Numbered P Sebenza. Ladies and gentlemen, P68...

Never expected that this thread develops into such an interesting direction. Thanks to all of you to share your "crown jewels" with us.

Such great examples so far keep it up people this thread is fun.

Of all the intricate beauties on display so far and I keep coming back to look at this drab flat ground statuesque example of a fixed blade. Thanks for sharing this one. Very nice find!

Hope to contribute to this one day.

I think this is mine. Simply a one of a kind for a friend in South Africa. I believe Chris's comment afterwards was something along the lines of never again, the spoons being a particular challenge.... Anne was good enough to give me a lot of information and anecdotes that make it all the more special! On her recommendation I managed to get a copy of the knives illustrated Spring 89 where the set were featured (bottom picture). The handles are whale bone and the fittings bead blasted titanium. Chris and Anne took them out for a test drive at a local favourite restaurant before delivering them to their friends, lol.
