to me thats irrelevant.

Anyone skilled enough to make this knife at any level is skilled enough to make this knife though all levels. It makes little difference if the maker mined the ore of the blade or bought a piece of damascus.

Badass is badass. YMMV

I agree 100% but it sure makes a difference in the price! Especially when it comes down to making your own hardware.

I love that more makers are doing mid-techs. The downside is that the quantity is so limited, they're almost like customs. Mid Tech Razels going for double cost! Funny how the mark ups really effect everyone. You flip for a profit to get more money for the knife you want, which is being flipped for a profit and so on and so forth. And then some knives of potentially higher caliber go unsold under cost!
