I just wanted to say hello to this great subforum. I've been reading the threads quietly for a good amount of time, but it's finally time to make a post and participate.

As probably everyone here knows, Guy's originals are not easy to come by. For the most part you have the 'bay and the exchange, and I hate the bay. And these GSOs don't last long at all on the exchange. I showed an interest in a 5.1 on the exchange by calling 2nds (yeah right, I know). Mr Ambassador himself, Hard Knocks, sent me a PM to look out for Casinostock's listing. CS sold me my first 5.1, plus another 5.1 from a member that reached out to me. That was it! From Guy's video using a gso to repel, the fit&finish, high grade materials, and the usual suspects here, I'm sold!

I've been lucky to be around at the right place at the right time, and my collection has grown ridiculously fast. There's still a few more models I'm looking for, but I've got enough steel to last a lifetime or 2.

I've officially fell into the deep end with survive, and I hope I can remember how to swim.

Pics always make a thread better. Enjoy, and see you around!

Is there a pill for the fever? Not that I'd have money for the meds.

Ah, the sight of mounting a GSO on the unicorn's horn...
Welcome to the pool!

Please don't pee in it.
Don't worry, the water will turn blue.
Coiled who? Wired what?

Oh wait... Welcome Bud :D
You know, the man you threw into the deep end.

I have a premonition that collection is going to be growing and added on to very soon ;)

That GSO 10 is lot cleaner than I had originally gathered to be from the low quality photos which were posted on the Exchange. A very solid pick up on that one

Nice post , you have been tearing up the sales forum , every for sale post you or casino just beat me by a couple minutes .
Very nice collection , thank you for sharing 👍

Awesome collection! It's quite an achievement to gather so many GSO from the Exchange in such a short period

Q: should OBX and Forte_Defense be worried?

A: short term no but long term, very much so ;)

Coiled: future goals :D

Welcome, Coiledwire. Glad you are here, and glad you have jumped in with a passion.

I am thankful you picked up that 7/7. I was on it and watched it for about 10 (loooonnnnggg, agonizing) minutes before you bought it. I am.... shall we say, 'extended' in the knife hobby department and the finance committee would not have been so enthusiastic if I had bought it. The story of "I can always sell it for a little more" isn't holding water because, let's face it, I would never sell it.

Very nice collection and that false edge 7/7 is rightfully the centerpiece.

Good to see all the goodies you've acquired. I have to admit, every time I clicked a Survive! Sales thread, I saw your name at the top of the post. Fingers crossed I can follow your footsteps here soon! My GSO6 preorder isn't exactly on the way yet :)

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! OBX's collection is impressive!

I thought I'd go show some action photos of my freshly sharpened 4.1. Being in a urban setting, it's a bit harder to find useful work to do. I thought I could clean up the garden with the 4.1, but my better half beat me to it. Oh well, guess it's just another photo op. :)
