The Elitist's War on Bushcraft: Part II !!! SERRATIONS!!!

The Old Hickory game could also imply you're a retro Bushcrafter who has come full circle. A man above the latest and greatest fray. A super bushcrafter elitist! I am just goofin' LOL!

All I know is it works for me and will cut rope :D and skin

I'm thinking the next video should be bushcraft'n with slip joints. That will get folks fired up.

Since we're mocking bushcraft, am I the only one that giggles like a 7 yr old who just saw a national geographic for the first time when I here 'bush'craft? Damn good I don't live in Australia. I'd be lmfao all day.
Back to serious stuff now..........

I worked with an Aussie gal for a while. She would talk about being "in the bush" all the time. It never got old...

But bushcrafting is an artform, Jim!!

You have the "landing strip", the "flying V", the "bald eagle"....or the total lack thereof...known as "the buckwheat"...

:D

Nice knife Roy..reminds me of an inverted Marbles Woodcraft - simple and functional.

Its okay guys, I'm pretty sure that entire video was done with movie magic and all sorts of other trickery. If you look closely you can see the feather sticks are superimposed.

Going fishing tommorow. Have fun out there everyone with whatever floats your boat.

Can I put in a request for the next video: Bushcrafting with clippers and a Bic?

What !!!!!!!!! a bic isn't standard bushcrafter equipment???????????????
How about a victorinox classic ? I cleaned 2 squirrels and a rooster who thought he was the alpha male on the property . That ended badly for him and fattening for me :D
Roy

Rooster would make a mighty fine pot of broth. Depending on how old they are, they can be a little tough on the fillings.

What's bad is those guys that have to bushcraft with machetes......talk about the "bad bush"! JHFC.

I have a serrated steak knife. I like it. I have a serrated bread knife and I like it too. My river knife attached to my life vest is partially serrated, a Schrade Firebird (like a Gerber LST). I like to keep it handy to cut braided rope in emergencies. Otherwise I hate serrated or partially serrated knives. I am the semi-elite.:)

I have a serrated bread knife for 15 years and I have never sharpened it
It is the best thing since sliced bread....

Dude, the thumb on the spine thing is an inspiration. You don't know how many times I've had 'experts' tell me that I'm doing it wrong because I occasionally put the thumb on top of the spine if I am doing finer work.

Two thumbs! You can even use two thumbs!

Another awesome video. I second using a slipjoint for the next vid! A non locking folder for bushcraft!? Oh my heaven! Can I put in a request that it be a SAK? Vic Tinker maybe even? Those are like $16 at Target.

If you really want to see it hit the fan, use a fake Schrade from Taylor. That will set you back all of $9.00 on a good day.
