I might have to get a custom emerson in the future

Just bought a CQC-8 Seilu? Was shopping for one earlier today. Thinking of a stonewash with plain edge or a Roadhouse of the same.

I owned it a while back and it was a great knife, felt like a mini pirate sabre, but it somehow didn't connect with me

I was wanting to get a roadhouse, but they're hard to find, and now with the ETAK out I might as well get that for a larger tanto emerson

but the commander just looks so commanding lol :cool:

As somebody mentioned earlier in this thread..... these knives just have "soul".

Thanks Andreas. It was a birthday present to myself. The seller from USN was not very honest with the description of the knife though. He stated it was brand new, never been used, never carried with only two light scratches. When I got it, the screws were all mangled up (I put in new ones already), bolsters were heavily scratched up from screwdriver slipping (doesn't show as much in pics), parts of the micarta and backspacer was grounded down from wear, lanyard hole has fraying, and detent is weak. The upside was the blade really does look unused/mint and I still like it a lot despite all that.
 
I'd love to get a 6 someday, those things are so sexy. One of the few that I would let go of my custom tanto for. That or a 7 and maybe a 14 long blade.

WOW, that really sucks. I HATE dishonest sellers with a passion!!

Emerson and Spyderco are all I carry these days. And rarely do I carry a Spyderco, it's mainly Emerson in my pocket. 14 today.
 
Speaking of Emersons, Eric tells me my HD7 will be home soon.
Tan scale and a new rear spacer. :)
