You guys ever tell yourselves "okay just this last knife and I'm done collecting?" I just bought mine off WTG and am wondering if it will really be the end. Mind you I said this about the Paramilitary 2 and Bugout and that was about $1200 ago.

Oh, I've said, "Man, I think I'm done buying knives. This one is amazing! Why would I need another one?" more than a few times over the years. 🤣

Sometimes I'll go six months or a year without thinking about buying a knife, but the itch always returns. I've come to view it as part of the hobby.

This thread idea is over done
Break the mold with knives and ask the infinite mind that is google "why" do people collect and you'll get your answer more or less. The knife industry and all the manufacturers know the hunger for the new, bizarre and strange and as long as they keep delivering, there will be no end

I don't think I'll ever stop collecting consciously. I think life will just shift. I'll reach an age where I have all the stuff I pretty much want short of a couple surprises and buying something "just because" won't scratch an itch.

I think I'll reach a point where I will be able to afford whatever I want but won't really see the point in purchasing it.

I think it's ultimately a fork in the road.
Are you or are you not?
I was once and then a light switch flicked on (or off) I had over 60 knives and only 2 or 3 got any use, and the guilt was slow at first then it really started bugging me to own stuff I never used. Ultimately
Im not and I can never collect, after a couple knives were benched and sat idly by, I sell them. so I got rid of my brawler and bought 3 moras under $60 and they will do 100% of everything I could possibly ask of them, including stuff i don't even know how to do, so, on the other side, you have the collectors and that whole spectrum of why and what and frankly, I'm not there
