The first spyderco you will buy in 2016?

I ordered these while I was away for the holidays and just got them in hand. Does that count?

Just got a Tenacious yesterday. I'm a Benchmade guy and I've never been huge on Spyderco, but having never owned one I decided I'd spend a little less and test the waters.
 
I wasn't going to buy anything till the Mantras came out but I broke down today and picked up a Blackhawk and a Renegade, both NOS.
I'll put up some pics when they get here. :thumbup:
 
I just pre-ordered the s110v Military, Rock Salt, & HAP40 Stretch. I'm really excited for the Rock Salt.
 
I really want a Mini PM2, but unlikely to be soon. Soooo, I'd like to try a Sage, also the Proficient looks fun. Possibly another PM2 to leave in the car or bike saddlebag. Also want to try out some of the larger Salts.

But, I actually kicked out an order right on the first (New Years day), that has not shipped yet. So I guess a waved Matriarch 2 will be my very first spydie of 2016. [emoji41]

Add: Doh! Also want a GB2, Air, and Centofonte Memory. Dang my wife is going to hate me......more. There are other brands that are up there on my hit-list also. I'm a screwed.

I must be a little Spydie-dense, but what is the Mantra that I just heard about today for the first time? Not finding it on the Spyderco website. Though not surprising because I couldn't even find the GB2. Seems dealers put up info long before the manufacturer site.

It's in their 2016 catalog, google would have netted you results. It's a all titanium frame lock flipper running on ball bearings, weight of 3 oz and under, and sports a FFG CPM-M4 blade under 3.25". There are 2 models, Mantra and Mantra 2, both designed by Eric Glesser, these are 2 new additions to the Spyderco line up.

I will purchase either a Sprint PM2 w/ M4, or Mantra depending whichever I can get my hands on first.

Well 1st for 2016 will be the GB2, bought and paid for, should arrive soon.
M4 Para2, both if i can get them.
Minuteman whenever it arrives.

But not a Mamba. Goodness no, that's just not sensible. No, definitely not a buying a Mamba. I mean, look at it. Too big, too heavy, too expensive... just impractical... all those sultry sweeping curves... CF so deeply sculpted for the hand... that exotically graceful up-swept blade... no, I...no... will not buy Mamba, must not buy Mamba, should not buy Mamba... :rolleyes:
 
I was looking around on GPknives, and came across the Mantra for sale. Didn't see preorder anywhere on the screen...so I clicked faster than I needed to...

It come in today (1/4/16). Pretty rad, considering I just heard of the thing a week ago! Will post pics, if anyone is interested.
