The FISK Sendero; A Tribute

As there's been several Fisk Senderos posted up recently and resulting discussion on his iconic Hunter design, I thought some may appreciate my resurrecting and updating this Sendero Tribute thread. Those who may not have seen this old thread may find some of the history and facts surrounding Jerry's Sendero interesting.

Here is the one I owned a few years ago for some time. This is one of a very few photos of mine that I really like. I just wish I used a background that didn't camouflage the Knife and it would pop more. Its quite like Kevins Sendero.

I recently joined the Sendero club withe the second knife in Kevin's post.
It is a wonderful design.

Jerry created this Sendero for the ABS Expo in Reno NV around 2006, or so. The late Bob Neil purchased it for a collector in China. I was told this collector had around 50 Fisk Senderos in his collection.

Anyway, a few years later the collector sent the piece back to Bob and it was sold at one of Jerry Fisk’s Micro Shows. So this Sendero traveled from Arkansas to Nevada to Georgia to China back to Georgia to Arkansas to Mississippi.
It’s really a sweet piece. I like the star Jerry engraved in the top of the guard.

Great thread Kevin - I'm really enjoying this. I can't decide if this is my favorite or the natural stag with the trigger finger. I'm going to ask Mr. Fisk if I could make one similar......without the engraving of course. I'm going to have to learn how to do that someday.

Thanks for bringing this back up, Kevin—wonderful examples! The more recent, longer blade variations have really captured my imagination, and especially this one which Jerry posted before Blade—was lucky enough to get a shot at it. Fresh from Paul Long:

I am pining for better times when I could actually afford a Sendero. I bought one back in like 2005-2006 from Kenny Rowe, IIRC. It had a bone handle and Mr. Fisk told me that it was a one off that he had done. Had to sell it after the crash.

Necro-post, I know… but I just bought this from Will & it bugs me to see great threads with dead images🍻
