- very nice too.

Was under the impression a folding hunter was a Buck 110 or something like a Dozier Folder (can't show cos of thumbstud) but these have an elegance all of their own - thanks for showing

Also Rough Ryder, Marbles, Boker, Bear and Sons, Frost, etc. Lots of the style still made, of course quality varies with maker.

Hope it's OK to post a contemporary Folding Hunter from Italy here. It sports a fairly unique blade and screw construction. Still, I'm reasonably certain that if my Grandfather could have used one, as a farmer and hunter, he'd would have loved it. I know I do.

Good show, Charlie; I knew you would be around. One of these days I will reel in another pre-war in some iteration. Don't quit now; where are your Catts?

Whoa! That CASE 5265 blows my skirt up!
I took that picture a couple years ago in a blind. I was hunting deer.
That knife was given to me a few years ago by my Dad. The knife belonged to his grandfather later in his life. My grandfather inherited it and then my dad inherited it. I feel connected when I carry it. How many deer has it field dressed? The stories my dad has of his grandfather tells me it filleted a fish or three. I know a couple of bears were taken. Was this knife used? It's a special one.
