The Folding Hunter

The only example of this pattern I have is a Rough Rider with carbon steel blades. I always thought a folding hunter would be too big for me to enjoy carrying, but a couple of BF members here encouraged me to try one, so I went for the RR. I was right: it's really big! I don't use belt sheaths, but the folding hunter does ride nicely in the tool pocket of carpenter pants when I wear those. Mostly I've been just using it in the kitchen to slice and dice fruits and vegetables.

I only have two full sized Hunters. A Boker and a Colt. Don't carry often. But feel like I'm wearing a framing hammer on my belt when I do. :D

Thats one of the things I like about RR Gary, a person can give a pattern a try without breaking the bank. And buy a good quality knife in the process, sometimes a person may realize they like something that otherwise they would have passed on.
