Dan, I thought Ibuprofen and Tylenol was one of the "no-no" combinations? Not telling you what to do, but if I remember right wasn't adding hooch to that combo the one that causes rapid liver coma??

To be honest, I think you need to dump the booze and add a nice narcotic like Vicodin to that daily regimen! :footinmou ;) :D Works for me! My "joints" lineup: Indomethacin, Gabapentin, Prednisone, Talwin (narcotic) daily, Actonel for osteoporosis once a week, and every two weeks an injection of Humira immunosuppressant for anti-rheumatoid disease.

I think there are 8-9 others for other crap......

Gee, I remember when I used to LIKE drugs.... ;)
Mike
they said Ibuprofen and Tylenol was non related? I asked about that..
I could have a quack too
it's the Ibuprofen that can do the liver in this I'm told?? they are watching my blood. I don't drink a lot but I do like to have it when I want it. :)

Don speaking about a H/A My boy, 21 when into the emer room yesterday thinking he was having one , chest was tight and numbness in the left arm he's ok though, Broncutouse <spelling and a panic attack causing the Numbness They say. I'm glad everything is turning out for everyone it could be worse.. :(

Damn right the breakaway sign supports are a good idea! That slowed me down or I may not be typing this morning. If I was in a smaller car I may not be typing this morning. So many factors. All I can say is thank God I am still here for my wife and Step Son. He has never had a live in father since he was 1 so I need to stick around a while!

Hey Don and Mike...I was told that I have a low thighroid level. Would that explain mild chest pains that I have sometimes?
I was told by my grandmother that throid can alter your heart functions.

Glad to hear about your son Don!

Whoa Brian, I'm sure glad you're okay. You got us all thinking and thankful again for everything we have.

Brian, I thought cardiac effects associated with thyroid hormones were usually associated with a "high" thyroid, or hyperthyroidism, but I am certainly no doctor. Chest pains should not go unheeded, though.

Dan, I vaguely remembered a news splash a few years back regarding the combination of "acute" alcohol consumption, acetaminophen and ibuprofen possibly causing sudden onset liver coma. The liver-rotting effect of combining alcohol and acetaminophen is well documented; it can be very dangerous. The truth be told, all of this stuff we take for pain and inflammation slowly rots the liver and kidneys. Chronic high-dose usage is no good for us.

It is truly "robbing Peter to pay Paul", but becomes a matter of choosing how miserable we want to be, when. What boils down to being "quality of life" choices, I guess you'd call it. Hell, no one gets out alive anyway.

It gets a bad rap because it can be so thoroughly abused, but about the most benign pain medication there is - in terms of being easy on your organs - is Oxycontin. It has virtually no effect on liver or kidneys. Problem is, it doesn't take much or long to make you very dependent. But for chronic pain there probably isn't a better medication made. If your pain's never going away, who cares if you become dependent? That may not be a popular sentiment but in my opinion that's a better choice than suicide, which many chronic pain sufferers consider a viable alternative.

Glad to hear your OK Brian, been there a couple times in my late teens/early 20's, and it's funny how time slows down. Just glad to hear your in one piece.

Brian, I just viewed those pics. Dang, right now we could be discussing what a nice fella you WAS. You are right, you must have had an angel riding with you, thankfully. You younsters bounce more than you break, fortunately. Hey heal up quick, Brian. You will be black and blue for a while. Don't expect to be as good looking as me when you heal, though. You still got a lot of grand knives to build, if that's any consolation.

John's right - you'd be in a real race to be as good looking as he is. :D Chicks swarm him on the street like they do Nick, but John just eats it up. I wish I had a little of his animal magnetism, I'd sell it!

Pretty soon we're going to need a gallery for all these stud muffin knifemakers.

Maybe some good cheescake fotos and more "feminine" knife designs could open a new market for some of you's? :p :D

My neurologist said the Gabapentin would be no problems at all and I can double the 600 MG a day if need be..
I do know the problems some stuff can cause after all most of it goes through the pisser any ways
when I asked about having a drink with the stuff she said some was OK but wait at least an hour or two before drinking
Some.. it's Greek to me..

Brian let see some good Pictures of Black and blues :)

Guys,
No bruses AT ALL! Just a small mark on my neck and cuts on my hands from climbing out. How lucky is that!

Well this sure has turned out to be a crappy w/e. I was over forging at a buddies house. Deb calls up to let me know that here Mother had died. We were just over talking with her last night. She's better off though. Laying in a bed struggling to breath is not living. :(

Mark tell Deb My heart feels for her it has to be hard just the same..no one should suffer .
