I gained 5 pounds since last Monday - that's a pretty tangible myth.......

I can't pinch that inch from here, so... I'm still calling it a myth. On the upside, that means you may not have ACTUALLY gained those 5 pounds.

I'm sorry I missed it. Looks like fun. Work reared its ugly head on Friday more than I'd expected, and by the time I was done, I was too tired to drive east for 3+ hours with two rambunctious young ones and set up in the dark. I wound up tossing a few things together and taking my children to a nearby state park so I could keep my promise of camping out. One of these days, work will let up, and maybe I can come to another Gathering. Sunday, at least, I did get to bounce a cool 160' pit near Manchester, TN. Rainy and wet, but still a good time.

I just chopped a few limbs at Ethan's place but here is a pic. Is balanced very well for intended use. I have owned about 20 Bk-9s over the years so still is my comfort zone.

Very different BK-9's there. Is the bottom one a Cam? The grind is way higher and lacks the Ka-bar etch.

How did the 29 compare to the 20?
As is well documented, I'm not a huge fan of the concave clip, but I do like the reduced waddle.

Like always, the gathering was a great time. Good friends, tasty food, skills to learn, and Ethan's incomparable hospitality.

I arrived Friday evening, and set up my hammock.

Saturday morning, stoked up the fire to make some coals for breakfast.

Breakfast consisted of 3 pounds of sausage, 3 batches of biscuits, a pot of gravy, several pounds of bacon, some grilled venison, and I don't know how many eggs.

And we cleaned it up.

Thanks SaturatedShadow for the great pictures, looks like there were some fun events this year, with alot of participants.

Very cool, the gathering seems to get better every year.

The look on Ethan's face watching his knives being used and played with (water bottle scenes) by Beckerheads at his place is priceless ... me thinks it inspires his already generous and hospitable nature for the Gatherings.

I wish i could have made this one.
