The Gelbu Special Number One -- take a look.

Thanks, Rusty. I think it's just another case of calling it as I see it. And thanks for info on khukuri destination.

Now that IS a lovely blade.

Excellent work coming over the water for sure.

Hmmm.... with such a deeply fullered area, wouldn't a set of hatch marks be gorgeous looking to accent the fullering?

Just funnnin, just teasing Unc Bill.

I know you are, Rusty. My personal preference is no hatchmarks but you saw what the kamis thought of this. But from a practical viewpoint a score in metal weakens it at the scoreline and the crevices like to catch all sorts of dirt and grime and make the blade difficult to clean. Right or wrong?

Well, gee, Uncle Bill, I guess you're right if you're actually going to go out and use it, but how much time are you gonna use it and how much are you just gonna fondle, and oil, and polish, and sharpen, and just plain flat out appreciate the sinuous curves and the incredible ergonomics of the thing?

YVSA is correct. The hammer did most of it. There three ways to open a beer with a GI .45. One with the M-14.

I ordered five more Gelbu specials. Two are taken but three are available in case anyone is interested.
