Unfortunately I won't be able to post that pic tonight. The package I received this morning did indeed contain a beautiful knife. The bad news is that the knife was not the balance.

What I got instead is a VERY LOVELY steel-mounted Pen-knife by Bura. Uncle Bill's got the right one on the way, and this knife will be Reno-bound tomorrow morning.

Any of you out there who wanted to get a Pen-knife should email Uncle Bill ASAP on this one, it's very nice.

OK, the ghopte arrived today. The handle is a clone of the one on my 18" kobra, a perfect fit. There's a small fold line on the backside and the inlay is partial towards the tip, neither of which will affect the function. Otherwise it's perfect. Here's a pic of it alongside my "magic" 15" Bura sirupati.

Wood or horn handle? Still got that one Uncle Bill?

The Pen-knife was horn handled with a very thick steel buttcap.
