Brown jigged Delrin without digging the knife out. 99% sure they are not bone.
This 8 is pretty nice.
Red wavy bone 881's.
My first 881.
The early, bone Waldens are just stunning. It helps that the ‘8’ pattern is, to me, the perfect Stockman.
Paul, beautiful knives. Not sure if it’s an illusion but the edge on your first 881 looks like it has a mirror polish to it.
Thanks Jim. It does have a mirror polish on the main edge.
A few 881’s tonight for the thread.
And a couple of good users for the pile...
Did someone say pile?
How many does it take to make a cabin??
Don't know but I think I have enough to find out.
My first two ...
Good looking knives. Careful, it’s addicting and these guys around here don’t do anything to help you stop
Thanks. I'm thinking a jigged 881 should be next.
Paul, I had an idea today. Instead of a cabin, how about a corral...I’ll provide a heard of Bison
I may have went a little overboard once I started to collect some of the Schrade made Parker Frost Bison’s, but sometimes you just find something you like
Looks awesome Jim!
Thanks Paul, but I think that’s the last of my 8’s....maybe
I have a few of the Bison and think they show case what Schrade was capable of.
I sort of look at them as the poor mans alternative to the earliest of the Walden ‘8’s with the saw cut bone scales. I’ve looked for one of those for years to no avail.
Just because it appears my old photos won’t host anymore....
Edited to add....until I posted this photo, now they’re back
