So about 10 years ago, I pick up a couple Picasso stone handled damascus steak knives from my good friend Tommy Clark at Blue Ridge Cutlery....nice price, beautiful work done by Santa Fe Stoneworks.
I use these knives for all kinds of food, and general utility. Dropped one of them on my tile floor about a month ago, and very sadly, contacted Santa Fe Stoneworks to see if they would repair the damage, and how much would it cost. They said send it in. Got it back a few days before Blade show, no invoice.
Just called them now to say WTF?, where is the invoice...they said THEY DON'T CHARGE FOR REPAIRS EVEN IF THE CUSTOMER IS AN IDIOT LIKE ME(they really didn't say the underlined part)!
From their website:
"Covered items are any parts proven to be defective in material or workmanship. Warranty term is as long as you own the product! Specifically excluded are problems due to misuse or abuse. To return defective cutlery, send it prepaid and insured."
BUT...when I called, the nice lady said even if I drop my beautiful steak knife again, they will replace the handle free of charge. I am pretty sure that if I was using it as a throwing knife, and tried to have it fixed 100 times, they would probably tell me to pack sand, at least I hope so.
Anyway, Santa Fe Stoneworks ROCKS-
